Senior Software Engineer Solar / EV Cars - Surrey
We are looking for an experience Senior Software Engineer to join an incredibly exciting, innovative and market disrupting start-up in the EV / Solar Energy space, to grow and lead the Engineering function and become the epicentre of its growth.
After successfully completing a round of funding, growing the Engineering division is a key priority across the business in terms of growth, there is now a need for what the CTO has described as the glue and nucleus of the Engineering teama multidisciplined superstar, someone who:
The Senior Software Engineer:
has been building computers/systems at home since an early age.
understands architecture - how it all fits together outputs, processes and databases etc.
is bit of a gadget master and views IT as a hobby as well as work.
understands various coding languages (a number of: .NET, Python, C#, C++, Perl, JavaScript etc) and can switch between them where required.
can make systems talk to each other and sync to benefit the business.
work in a greenfield environment and look at IT as a jigsaw whilst figuring out how to put the pieces together.
loves problem solving and challenges which involve creative and complex thinking (e.g: making Jira talk to Zoom and how to connect them to other systems or IoT devices
wants to grow an Engineering function for an organisation that wants to scale massively in the future and become a market leader.
is familiar with network architectures.
Experience required for the Senior Software Engineer role:
Skilled in numerous programming languages (.NET, C++, C#, Bash, Python, JavaScript etc)
Knowledge of Microsoft stack (Office 365, SharePoint etc).
Understanding of IoT technologies and remote API interfaces along with data protocols (JSON and XML,SQL etc).
Jira / Confluence experience understanding how to link it up and utilise it, can you make it talk to Zoom?
Familiarity with Network Architectures would be very beneficial.
Huge passion for building IT environments.
Desire to work in a rapidly scaling organisation that are building from ground up with good backing and truly innovative products.
Innovative thinker someone who can glue together different tech stacks / systems.
