Senior Solicitor (3-5 years PQE) - Clinical Defence

We have an exciting opportunity for a solicitor to work in the Clinical Defence team in either BTO’s Glasgow or Edinburgh office, with Edinburgh being preferred.
The successful candidate will join a market leading team (top ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK) which deals clinical defence work (principally representing healthcare professionals in clinical negligence claims raised in the Court of Session and sheriff courts). We also represent healthcare professionals at Fatal Accident Inquiries.
This role covers proceedings across Scotland and flexibility is required to travel to deal with those.
Candidates must have experience of Sheriff Court and Court of Session procedure and have an interest in developing advocacy skills. They must have a strong client focused approach, high levels of initiative and motivation, and be a supportive team member. Excellent communication, organisational, and business development skills are essential.
