As a Senior Solutions Design Manager, your primary goal is to conceive, refine, and promote logistical solutions tailored to meet the ever-evolving needs of clients within a dynamic business landscape. Your role involves a range of key activities:

  1. Conceptual Development: Innovate and conceptualise solutions by drawing on your deep operational expertise, tailoring them to the specific requirements of each (sub)vertical.
  2. Layout Design: Utilise advanced modelling techniques, such as simulation and financial commercial modelling, to design layouts that efficiently translate conceptual solutions into actionable plans.
  3. Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis on datasets, including sensitivity analysis, collaborating closely with commercial/financial teams to derive valuable insights.
  4. Knowledge Consistency: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of extracted knowledge across diverse regions and business units, maintaining a high standard of quality and reliability.
  5. Material Handling Requirements: Determine the material handling needs, including automated material handling and robotics, to optimise operational efficiency.
  6. Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial sensitivity analysis and generate pricing models to ensure the viability of proposed solutions.
  7. Presentation Skills: Communicate findings and proposed solutions in a clear and professional manner, facilitating understanding among stakeholders.
  8. Collaboration with Sales and Marketing: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to seamlessly integrate Request for Quotation (RFQ) proposals into the sales process, ensuring alignment with client needs.
  9. Complex Tender Management: Handle complex tenders from inception to completion, demonstrating your ability to navigate intricate bidding processes effectively.
  10. Stakeholder Communication: Engage with potential and existing customers, suppliers, and internal departments, fostering strong relationships and facilitating effective collaboration.


In addition to these core responsibilities, you'll also play a crucial role in:


  • New Business Development: Analysing customer requests and data to provide initial feedback and make informed decisions.
  • Client Retention / Growth: Maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients through proactive engagement and data-driven optimisation.
  • New Business Implementation: Ensuring seamless implementation of sold solutions, aligning Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and resources with proposed concepts.
  • Department Development: Identifying opportunities to enhance the value proposition of the Solutions Design department, standardising approaches for optimal consistency.
  • Department Goals: Researching industry innovations to stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies, driving continuous improvement within the organisation.
