Experience required…

Essential:

  • A HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant subject or equivalent recognised qualification that allows application to become a Chartered Engineer.
  • Experience of the management and administration of contracts and ensuring compliance with specifications.

Experience in assessing and auditing Transport Assessments.

  • Experience in Development Management and Construction Consent processes.

  • Experience in the analysis of accidents and the design and implementation of casualty reduction schemes.

  • Commissioning and analysis of traffic and transportation surveys.

  • Experience of parking studies and policy development.

  • Experience of traffic signal design and maintenance.

  • Experience of project working including a proven ability in project management to achieve agreed outputs, within budget, including benefit realisation.

    • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and its application in Roads and Transportation.
    • Understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation, initiatives and roads operations.
    • Ability to understand and apply financial procedures for contract standing orders.
    • Knowledge of traffic modelling and design software.
    • Understanding and knowledge of roads and transportation initiatives.
    • Budget monitoring skills.
    • A full UK driving licence.

    Desirable:

    • Chartered Membership of an appropriate organisation
