Job Description

Prospectus are excited to be working with our client to recruit a new Senior Trusts Fundraising Officer to join their expanding team. Our client is a global charity with the objective and purpose of providing veterinary care to working animals, including donkeys, horses, elephants and camels. Our client's mission is to transform the welfare of working animals in low-income countries. It aims to support working animals' welfare through a combination of treatment, training and teaching.

This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis with a salary of circa £33,500 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their London office or the option of being home-based.


The post holder will work to maximise income generated from charitable trusts, foundations, multilateral and statutory sources, by producing compelling applications, proposals, mailings, in-depth research profiles and feedback reports, and by providing exemplary stewardship. They will assist in the development and submission of funding applications to statutory and multilateral sources (such as the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and United Nations), working with colleagues to identify opportunities and develop projects and proposals. The post holder will organise events, visits, meetings and other appropriate activities to encourage and maintain support from trusts.


They are looking for someone with a demonstratable experience of working in a fundraising role with a track record of developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships with donors, potential supporters and other stakeholders. They are looking for a candidate with demonstratable experience of prospect research techniques, and using research to suggest suitable projects/areas of interest/building a long-term relationship.
