Senior UK Tax Manager – Leading Asset Manager

About the role:
As a Senior UK Tax Manager, you will have the opportunity to join a leading Asset Management business, managing the compliance and reporting for the group.
Key responsibilities:
- Liaise with an external service provider and other tax counterparts as well as regional CFO team members
- Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes and tax return preparation and filing
- Keeping up-to-date with new legislation and how this impacts the business
- Manage responses to HMRC, including tax audits
- Oversee preparation of the tax provision documentation for year-end financial statement disclosure, as well as for quarterly financial statements
- Present quarterly tax results, and forecast to senior management
- Lead preparation and filing of tax returns
- Manage VAT compliance processes and provide VAT advisory to the business division leads
- Manage tax planning for the company as well as tax research and support for internal business partners
Skills & Experience required:
- Strong experience in corporate taxation within financial services, gained either from a Tier1 accounting firm and/or in-house corporate tax department
- Solid exposure to IFRS tax reporting
- Proven experience of supporting large UK tax projects that involve multiple jurisdictions in relation to reporting standards including IFRS and UK GAAP
- Experience of VAT tax compliance preferred
