Find out more at www.hiscoxre.com.The Role:Hiscox Re is seeking an energetic Underwriter who demonstrates industry experience and passion for delivering results. The incumbent will be analyzing portfolios to assist in making commercial and strategic decisions, developing relationships with brokers and clients, attending client meetings and may need to travel at times.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Underwrite a portfolio of US accountsAnalyze market and target potential new clientsDevelop and maintain broker and client relationshipsPrepare reinsurance quotesResponsible for account/portfolio analysis and planningAssist in analyzing quarterly figures and identify reserving levels requiredOther underwriting duties as requiredMinimum Requirements:Possess an industry related certification or progress towards oneMinimum of 3 years underwriting experience which must include working with Property Reinsurance linesProven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key clients and brokers in London, Bermuda and the USExperience using catastrophe models to price risk, such as AIR and RMSProven experience in data analysis, including strong ability with Microsoft Excel, Access and WordAdvanced and proven analytical and interpersonal skillsWillingness to work additional hours as required, in or to achieve business objectivesKnowledge of third party capital utilization and implementation is a benefitIntimate understanding of the Lloyd’s market place would be a valuable additionDiversity & Hybrid WorkingAt Hiscox we care about our people.
