We are keen to hear from experienced Senior Urban Designers with a forward-thinking portfolio to join an internationally renowned multidisciplinary studio in central London on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse array of design projects across multiple sectors across the globe, while mentoring junior team members. As a key member of our masterplanning team, the Senior Urban Designer will focus on conceptualizing and strategizing masterplans for medium- and large-scale projects both domestically and internationally. This position entails city-scale and regional Masterplanning, building design, and the creation of comprehensive urban design guidelines and development frameworks.
About you:
- Hold a degree in urban design/architecture/landscape architecture or an MA in urban design or equivalent.
- Demonstrate leadership experience across diverse project sectors in the UK, Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
- Proven ability to coordinate and lead projects autonomously, meeting deadlines effectively.
- High proficiency in a minimum of four design software tools including Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, GIS software, and CityEngine.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Masterplanning projects, coordinating internal and external stakeholders for end-to-end delivery.
- Design independently and collaboratively, addressing urban design complexities such as transportation and economics.
- Cultivate a network within the organization, providing direction and support to junior team members while seeking leadership opportunities.
- Develop proficiency in cost control, fee structures, and project finance to maximize project profitability while maintaining client relationships and fostering repeat business.
