Our office is based in Macclesfield, Cheshire, near the train station. We are flexible remote workers who often come together in the office. Please only apply for this position if you are able to commute to our office during these times.


Our requirements

Blue Beck is currently looking for an experienced App and web UI designer (with UX experience). Your primary role will be in mobile app UI design, with the occasional requirement to translate this over to the web.  You will be responsible for UI creation and UX guidance to support our highly experienced team of developers in crafting the perfect solution for our clients. This role will also support business development by providing concepts and mockups to input into presentations.



About the role

  • Specialist in designing mobile app interface design throughout the whole project lifecycle. 
  • Offer user-centred design solutions, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final implementations, by working in close partnership with both clients and our team. 
  • Design and facilitate workshops to encourage collaborative ownership of problems and define collective action plans.
  • Support new business by producing project estimates, creative concepts and idea generation. Also, ensure the in-house portfolio is kept up to date.



About you

  • At least 3 years of experience as a UI/UX designer, specialising in mobile apps and web, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Ability to understand complex problems, showing your thought process to stakeholders.
  • Significant experience creating wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, and mockups to show your design solutions.
  • Experienced with working directly with development teams, understanding their needs and requirements to deliver your designs. 
  • A proactive self-starter who owns their work and takes responsibility for delivering high-quality design by working cross-functionally with key stakeholders.
  • UX Research experience, with the ability to turn this knowledge and learning into solid recommendations.
  • Proficient with Figma and other industry-standard design tools.
  • Maintain and improve the in house design system and component library, alongside the existing team.
  • Creative, illustrative, and communication skills are crucial.
