What We Do:
As a Senior UX Researcher, you will be a constant advocate as we build a new suite of simulation software with complex challenges around data-ingestion, intuitive design, turn-based wargaming, mapping, simulation playback and more. The platform we are building leverages our two core competencies, distributed simulation and probabilistic machine learning in a brand new way. You will be a key stakeholder in shaping the direction of our product at this early stage of development.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proficiency with Product/UX Research toolkits that can be applied to a range of features, users and product; qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, A/B testing, and focus groups.
- Experience with contextual inquiry and field studies.
- Ability to nurture, significantly contribute to a product design strategy and facilitate collaborative workshops for a range of purposes, e.g., discovery, product scope and definition.
- Familiar with building a Product Research strategy for a product or business; able to show how your work has contributed to the development of a product.
- Previously worked closely with product, engineering, and customer teams as a customer advocate & feedback channel.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Play a pivotal role, putting hyper-focus on our users, including military tacticians, from junior to very senior.
- Embed the voice of the customer directly into our product development, ensuring their needs are central from the outset.
- Advocate for our unique, complex, and diverse user base, ensuring our platform effectively addresses their needs.
- Engage in deep discovery through extensive user interviews and qualitative research, fully immersing with the customer.
- Design, conduct, analyse, and report on user-centred design research and usability testing, with a focus on early stage studies like contextual interviews and mapping our user journeys.
- Lead and help facilitate collaborative workshops (internal and with customers) for purposes such as discovery, product scoping and definition.
