Their Watford office hosts a team of 40, including 10 civils specialists. Job Description: They are seeking a Senior Civil / Drainage Engineer to lead their civils team in Watford. This role focuses on drainage and infrastructure design, including external works, cut and fill analysis, and some highways design. Your primary projects will involve logistics and distribution centres. As the civils team lead, you will manage projects, attend meetings, and liaise with clients, design teams, and third-party representatives. Key Responsibilities: - Focus on drainage and infrastructure design (external works, cut and fill analysis) - Some highways design involvement - Work primarily on logistics and distribution centres - Operate as civils team lead - Manage projects and liaise with clients, design teams, and third-party representatives Requirements: - Minimum of 3/4 years’ UK experience with an aspiration to gain Incorporated or Chartered status - Experience in civil-related design aspects of large-scale logistics development projects, from pre-planning through to construction - Expertise in highways, external works, earthworks modelling, and drainage design - Proficient in highway and drainage design, bulk earthworks modelling, and familiar with UK design standards - Private sector experience with proficiency in Civil3D, Causeway Flow & Microdrainage, AutoCAD, Autotrack, and Navisworks - PDS line and sign design experience beneficial - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering - Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE) - Varied experience in DCG, SUDS, Micro Drainage, Highways, and Civils 3D design Benefits: - Chartership CPD training - Hybrid working - Annual salary and position reviews - Easily accessible office by train and car If you are ready to take on a leadership role within a dynamic and diverse project environment, apply now to join their Watford team as a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer.
