Job Description

Workshop based Plant Fitter

£14.50 ph

Stratford-Upon-Avon

Warwickshire

Are you an experienced Mechanical engineer?

Interested in moving into a Heavy Engineering Environment for a market leader?

Attega Group is currently partnering with an independent Heavy Plant company based in the Warwickshire area.

The main purpose of this role is to perform service, maintenance, repair, breakdowns or fault finding to my client’s range of Crawler Cranes or Piling Equipment

In return, our client is offering a salary circa £14.50 based on a 39 hour week, the average working week would be around 50 hours with 11 hours of overtime paid at time and a half. Weekend work and overtime opportunities are available.

This role will lead to further opportunities within the company, my client have an excellent history of promotion from within.

Reporting to the Depot Manager your responsibilities will include:

Inspection of equipment and rectification of any defects.

Carry out complete servicing of equipment.

Undertake routine inspections of equipment.

Dismantle and repair or replace faulty components.

Re-assemble and test components to ensure they are in good working order.

Involvement in major repairs and re-builds of equipment.

Explain faults to managers, colleagues and customers.

Ensure that detailed work reports, inspections and services are submitted electronically in real time on PDA provided.

Maintain good housekeeping by keeping your work area clean and tidy at all times.

Work to health and safety regulations, risk assessments and safe working procedures at all times.

The ideal candidate:

Will come from a background within the Plant industry, or to have previous experience working in Mechanical Engineering, along with experience of hydraulics.

As this is a workshop role, my client is happy to look at candidates with no experience within the Plant industry, just a strong Mechanical background would be acceptable.
