Salary: £50,000 DOE
Location: Crawley (With weekly visits to Maidstone expenses paid)
Work Model: Office Based

My client are a highly successful housebuilding group who provide the full process of house building from land purchase through to construction, retail sales and post-sale care. The company has an annual turnover of over £100m and is looking to grow further and cement themselves as a major player in their industry.


Role Description:


The client is looking to progress their Microsoft Azure ecosystem of infrastructure, platform, application, data analytics and user environment. With Dynamics ERP and SharePoint at the heart of the platform.


The SharePoint will consist aspects such as Document storage, process flow automation, integration to Dynamics and external applications, and bespoke user interfaces in the form of user forms, intranet portals, dashboards, search tools.


As a SharePoint developer joining the team you will be your own boss and resource on your projects, and will report directly to the Head of IT on progress, extra resource requirements, blockers, infrastructure requirements, etc. You will also be working closely with the Project Evangelist and key stakeholders of which there are between 20-30 people to build the some of the following bespoke intellectual property.

* Create structured yet user-friendly departmental portals and dashboards that include reminders, allowing for easy access and use by employees.
* Implement a multimedia e-learning library that supports employee development and training.
* Develop bespoke mobile apps using PowerApps or other technologies to enhance the accessibility and usability of the system.
* Ensure fully validated manual forms submission to maintain data accuracy and completeness.
* Automate document creation and distribution to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
* Integrate all other IT systems with SharePoint to establish it as the single master source of all documents, data, and process status.
* Enable document interchange with external systems and key stakeholders via standard and bespoke APIs.
* Implement a full life-cycle operational process automation system to streamline business processes.
* Integrate with Office tools such as Teams, Outlook, PowerBI, etc. to facilitate collaboration and analysis.
* Implement an Information Management System that includes indexing, archiving, deduplicating, standardizing, and e-signing to maintain data integrity and security.


Ideal Requirements:

* SharePoint Developer with at least 5 years of experience in the latest versions of SharePoint 365 and working in a modern development environment.
* Skilled in functional requirements discovery, documentation, and process mapping, Agile SDLC, robust source code hygiene standards, UX-led design, structured systems documentation, and full lifecycle project management.
* Experience working directly for an end-user organisation, preferably in the construction, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain industries.
* Friendly and calm personality, strong analytical mind, and willingness to collaborate and escalate to other support resources to expedite resolution.
* Structured detail documentation at all phases of the project is critical.
* Proactive and keen to learn, improve skills, keep good professional order, comply with good governance and procedures, and encourage others to do so.
* Proven track record in building bespoke APIs and ETL tools between SharePoint and non-Microsoft applications using technologies such as RestAPI, JSON, XML, EDI, etc.
* Experience in leveraging integration with the rest of the Microsoft family of applications and technology, including Teams, Outlook, SQL Server, Power Automate, PowerApps, etc.
* The development environment should be ready for rapid ad hoc resourcing as required to contractors or other development resources.


Ideal Experience:


* 5+ years of experience in developing SharePoint websites, document stores, APIs, and process automation, preferably with experience working directly for end-users.
* Compliance with industry-standard governance and best practices within a modern software development environment utilizing industry-leading SDLC tools and methodologies.
* Knowledge and experience with modern technologies, including .NET frameworks, ASP.NET, CSS, HTML, XML, JavaScript, JSON, RestAPIs, SQL Server, web services, Power Automate, PowerApps, PowerBI dashboards, forms, lists, Stream, Yammer, and integration into Office 365 apps.
* Expertise in building information management systems, including document distribution, archive, search, storage, audit, and conversion.
* Proven track record of managing the whole development project lifecycle, from initial requirements discovery through design and development, to delivery, support, and iterative improvement.
* Commercial working knowledge of data governance, including GDPR, ISO27001, cyber security (e.g. DevSecOps), and how to implement them.
