Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for experienced Shift Managers, to help strengthen our depot operations management team. This role will be based from our Liverpool, L11 2BD Depot. We are looking for managers who;Thrive working within a pressured, fast paced and time-bound environment.Ensuring that all relevant documentation and systems are completed accurately and in line with company and/or legislative requirementsWorking to strict KPIs (with some budgetary requirements) including Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport and Health and Safety.Can effectively manage and motivate their teams of drivers and/or warehouse operativesAre passionate about delivering a quality serviceThe roles we can on offer are:Shift Managers - Dispatch In this role you will be working closely with our self employed Owner Drivers (OD’s) and Employed Drivers, building a strong relationship with them and keeping the drivers engaged, well managed and motivated to ensure outstanding service is delivered. Other key accountabilities will be;Ensure depot target for Core Routes is achievedEnsure depot target Stops Per Route (SPR) is achievedEnsure company target for CITO is achievedEnsure Depot Clear is achievedShift Manager - Customer ExperienceIn this role your key responsibility will be to achieve depot objectives in terms of operational, compliance, financial, customer service and HR tasks and responsibilities, through the effective management of employees, maintenance of company operating standards and ISO operating procedures specific to own areas of accountability.Other key accountabilities will be;Ensure company target for Premium Service is achievedEnsure there are zero ExceptionsEnsure company target for Collection Service is achievedEnsure company target for Delivery ETAs is achievedShift Manager - CollectionsIn this role you will be working closely with our Drivers and Warehouse Operatives. You will be responsible for overseeing the accurate processing of any Collections and Returns to the Depot. You will also be dealing with any inbound customer service queries ensuring appropriate action is taken and the query is dealt with in an effective manner.Other key accountabilities will be;Ensure trailer departures from Depot and customer sites leave at the designated timeEnsure all parcels are collection scannedEnsure depot target for PPMHR is achievedEnsure company target for security searches is achievedEnsure all relevant systems and reports are analysed and updated in a timely manner.Shift Manager - Sortation (Nights)In this role you will be managing a team of warehouse operatives throughout the night making sure that they are engaged, organised and motivated, whilst they unload the lorries that arrive into the Depot in the most efficient and timely manner. Other key accountabilities will be;Ensure company CAD % is achievedEnsure depot Throughput target is achieved in line with targeted tip timeEnsure company target for Saturations is achievedAchieve depot PPMH targetQualificationsYou will have experience in a fast paced operation with proven and demonstrable people management experience, involving direct accountability and responsibility for motivating and leading a high performing team, ideally within a Transport Setting. We would also expect:You will have strong communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage a team.Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution and time management skills.Demonstrate high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.Excellent computer skills with the ability to use Google chrome applicationsThe ability to do comprehensive reporting, alongside analysis of data is a key requirement for this role.You will be highly vigilant to any unscrupulous activity taking swift and appropriate action.
