We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and innovative Pilot Plant Chemist in Drug Substance Manufacturing.
- Operating a modern Pilot Plant facility.
- Following detailed GMP batch instructions to complete tasks such as solids and liquids charging, reaction monitoring, reaction work-ups, crystallisations and waste management.
- The role also involves GMP in-process analysis using techniques such as HPLC, KF and GC to monitor the progress and success of on-going reactions.
- Learn new processes to operate safely and compliantly in the client’s facility.
Qualifications
- A Degree, MSc, MChem or equivalent in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. The degree course must contain a significant number of organic chemistry modules if it isn’t a straight chemistry degree.
- A sound, fundamental knowledge of Chemistry and analytical science is essential.
- Previous Pilot Plant knowledge and experience within a pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
- Engineering skills would be desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of techniques such as HPLC, GC, Karl Fisher and UPLC within a GMP environment is essential.
- Knowledge and experience of drug substance analysis, is an advantage.
- An understanding of the drug development process would be desirable.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues relating to instrumentation and analysis as required.
- Proven ability to investigate questionable/ OOS results and providing support for pilot plant investigations as required.
