About The Role Want to use your interpersonal skills to enable people living with dementia to keep doing the things they love? As a Side by Side volunteer you’ll be helping a person living with dementia to take part in their favourite activities or even try new ones; from joining a local club or going to the library, to going to the football, or just for a stroll in the park. You’ll complete a short profile of yourself with information about you and your interests for a person living with dementia to look at. If they share some of your interests, you’ll be paired together and meet regularly to accompany them in their chosen activities. Volunteers must be from, or willing to visit people living with dementia who live in the areas as follows: from Southport to Bootle, Maghull/ South SeftonTime commitment - Minimum of an hour or two at least fortnightly or ideally every week, hours/day to suit.
