Single Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a background in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering?
VANRATH are recruiting a Single Skilled Maintenance Engineer to contribute either an Electrical or Mechanical bias to our client’s Maintenance Engineering team in a food production operation.

40hr Work Week
Rotating Shifts
Week 1: Earlies 5:00am to 1:30pm
Week 2: Lates 12:00pm to 8:30pm
Client
Our client is an established name in the UK’s Food Production industry. With multiple sites around the UK, including state of the art production facilities, they employ thousands of staff with the central focus of providing the nation with authentic, ethically sourced and sustainably produced food of the highest possible quality.
Main Responsibilities
• To work across mechanical and electrical trades as qualified and authorised.
• Ensure all engineering work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Health and Safety Legislation and current Company Standards.
• Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs of plant, machinery and site services – electrical or mechanical lead.
• Planned maintenance (PM), modifications, installations and upgrades to plant machinery and site services.
• To utilise the CMMS fully and assist in its development to achieve ‘World Class’ asset performance.
• Upkeep and alteration of electrical or mechanical drawings as needed relevant to trade.
• To obtain Permits to Work and to sign out Permits to Work where ever required • Comply with audit requirements.
• To undertake statutory checks as directed by the management team.
• To undertake other duties as requested with due regard to relevant engineering, operational quality, safety and hygiene standards.
The Ideal Person:
- 1+ Experience in machine maintenance within a production environment
- Third level qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts
