Position Overview:
Our client seeking a skilled Site Agent with a strong background in Civil Engineering to work on a £400M 10 Year Water / Utilities Framework contract.
The Site Agent will be responsible for managing and overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management:
- Oversee and manage all on-site activities to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor and manage site logistics, ensuring optimal use of resources.
- Address any issues or shortages promptly to avoid project delays.
Health and Safety:
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on-site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Address and rectify any safety hazards immediately.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on completed work.
- Address any defects or issues promptly to maintain quality standards.
Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Prepare and submit detailed site reports and documentation as required.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and implement necessary adjustments.
- Ensure that any changes to the project scope are managed effectively.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the on-site construction team.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
