Job Description

Position Overview:

Our client seeking a skilled Site Agent with a strong background in Civil Engineering to work on a £400M 10 Year Water / Utilities Framework contract.


The Site Agent will be responsible for managing and overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities:


Site Management:

  • Oversee and manage all on-site activities to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.


Resource Management:

  • Allocate resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor and manage site logistics, ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Address any issues or shortages promptly to avoid project delays.


Health and Safety:

  • Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on-site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Address and rectify any safety hazards immediately.


Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on completed work.
  • Address any defects or issues promptly to maintain quality standards.


Communication and Reporting:

  • Maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Prepare and submit detailed site reports and documentation as required.


Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure that any changes to the project scope are managed effectively.


Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the on-site construction team.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
