DC532 – Site DirectorLocation – GlasgowSalary – £55,000 to £65,000Overview:First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client – the UK’s leading specialist in commercial property and asset management – to recruit a Site Director to join their team at BioCity Glasgow.The purpose of the Site Director role is to actively assist the National Director (Operations) in the leadership of the management of the BioCity Glasgow site and to deliver a first class service to both occupiers and clients. The main focus of the role will involve establishing a first class customer experience on the site as well as marketing the site and pursuing innovative ideas to promote the site as a scientific centre of excellence. It will also involve providing management leadership and taking accountability for the Landlord operations at the site. The role will be based at the BioCity Glasgow site.The Site Director will be responsible for managing all operations, budgets, compliance, marketing, external positioning and exposure of the site within the academic and industry world, in addition to supervising the operational teams and ensuring that the highest standards of customer services, management, maintenance and service are maintained, whilst having due regard to expenditure and current legislation. The role will involve taking responsibility for the authorisation of all compliance, promotional works, marketing budgets and high-level operational activity.Duties and Responsibilities [Extract]:Work closely with the client and occupiers to ensure that facilities available are suitable and sufficient for the work being undertaken, identifying where improvements and alterations may be necessary.Promote high levels of satisfaction among occupiers and client by promptly responding to their service requirements – this will include close budgetary monitoring, seeking innovative business initiatives in the local area and fostering relationships on site.Work with the client and occupiers on the further development of laboratory growth and support space and support as necessary refurbishment and expansion plans for occupiers, drawing in specialist Company and external teams as necessary.Monitor budget performance at high level across the Site.Seek to improve and enhance the delivery of client service.Support and identify change and controls and enhance change management and represent Company and clients’ values.Be proactive and have a flexible attitude to changes to the Company, IT systems, and the role.Skills and Experience:Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a multi-asset role [essential].Proven experience in similar environment [essential].Network of contacts within industry and/or academia.Marketing experience.Science and wet and dry laboratory based experience [desirable].Compiling and managing large service charge budgets.Experience managing teams.NEBOSH qualification [desirable].Excellent self-management, including showing initiative, being proactive, and meeting deadlines.Great service delivery, including working in partnership with internal and external individuals.Able to achieve results and prioritise work, including attention to delivery to all stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, capable of communicating at various levels including meetings with occupiers, client, supplier and wider stakeholders.Good written and verbal communications skills.Innovative solutions and problem-solving skills.Embracing change, including technology.Engaging with the Big Picture.Committed to developing self and others, and willing to learn.In return our client offers:A salary of £55,000 to £65,000.Other benefits TBC.An opportunity to be part of a company who is committed to engaging with and developing all employees.The opportunity to contribute to a growing organisation, providing both personal and career development opportunities
