Alexander Steele Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a fantastic international food manufacturing business, who are going from strength to strength. We are presently tasked to help them find a Site Engineering Manager for their manufacturing facility in Bedfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of an established Engineering Team and to really drive long term strategy of the Engineering function as well lead on all future projects.
This role will report to the Site Director and you will oversee an established & well invested Engineering team with a Maintenance Manager reporting to you.
This role forms part of a dynamic leadership team, which is leading the business through an exciting period of growth and expansion. The manufacturing base of the business has seen some significant growth which will continue, therefore having an highly experienced Engineering Manager is critical at this stage to take the site forward and to continue to elevate the skills and standards from an Engineering perspective.
You will be challenged to deliver in a number of key areas including:
- Site Compliance
- Change Management
- Team Development
Therefore you must have a demonstrable background in these areas.
This role will offer the successful candidate full autonomy and the opportunity to put their stamp on the role, we need a real leader that can bring a career of skills and experience into this role so that they can add real value long term.
What's On Offer:
- Salary up to £75k dependant on experience

The Candidate:
- Holds a degree within Engineering or has relevant Engineering qualifications
- Experience manging an Engineering team within a Manufacturing environment, ideally food manufacturing.
- Budgetary Management experience
- Knowledge of C.I & Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strategic Planning
- Ability to work under pressure
