Salary: £11 - £13p/h, increases after probation
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Shifts: 4 on and 4 off / 2 day & 2 nights
Pertemps are looking for a Site Operative for our Corby based client.
The main purpose of the Site Operative is to support the site team to achieve production requirements including a high standard of health & safety, food safety, high quality (to include minimal waste) and cost control.
The main duties of the Site Operative role will include:
Working safely at all times with particular focus on adhering to critical standards
Carefully following procedures that help to ensure high standards of food safety and product quality
Completion of cleaning and hygiene requirements as per the allocated schedule.
Maintain a high focus on KPI targets (maximise throughout & minimise downtime)
Laboratory testing to ensure high quality standards
Effective communication with all departments to ensure efficient operations
Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork
Production planning
Efficient supervision of machinery
Completion of any identified training and development programmes
Weighbridge operations when required.
After successful completion of induction training the successful Site Operative will be working on a shift rota on a 2 days on and 2 nights on, repeating pattern.
These are either day shift, 06:00 hours to 18:00 hours, or night shift, from 18:00 hours to 06:00 hours.
Desirable Requirements for the Site Operative are:
- Team player with good communication skills along with a flexible approach to the varied work requirements.
- GCSE's (or equivalent) in English, Mathematics and Science at a minimum grade 'C' or above
- Good I.T skills (i.e microsoft applications etc )
- Problem solving skills
- Good time management
- Mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience within the food or manufacturing industry.
