Job Description

Our Tech teams know their tools. They're the experts when it comes to the ever-changing landscape of tech that creates the most rewarding experiences for our customers. Through knowledge sharing, cutting through the complexity, knowing when process is key, and being the best collaborators, our teams deliver outstanding tech solutions, so customers can surf, play, and never miss a beat. We'd love you to be a part of that.

As a member of our Site Reliability Engineering team you'll be the guardian of our digital products and platforms. We've got millions of customers, and they expect a reliable and efficient experience whilst browsing through the thousands of amazing ways they can redeem their Avios. We already have a global reach, but we're growing that even more, and we need a team ready to grow with us, building the best digital experiences. And of course, when things go wrong, because nothing is perfect, you'll be on hand to manage any major incidents. Not all superheroes wear capes!

You'll monitor, analyse and understand what is happening within our services. Measuring services through SLIs and SLOs is vital to our success.

You'll review the platforms to look for reliability and efficiency improvements as well automating our existing playbooks. We love people who want to learn, so you'll have ample opportunities to research new developments and identify continuous service improvements.

You'll also provide value in the role by:

  • Providing 24x7 incident management support for our critical products.
  • Developing CI / CD pipelines for improvements within the platform.
  • Engaging product teams as they develop new products with a focus on building supportable products and systems.
  • Developing Disaster Recovery tests and frameworks for chaos testing

What we'd like you to have:

You will have real enthusiasm for site reliability engineering including knowledge of SLIs and SLOs - how they impact and benefit services, and a proven ability to work with DevOps teams to assess, implement and improve them.

Yes you will have the skills and knowledge of monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, a deep understanding of AWS and experience building CI/CD pipelines, but more than that you will have the mindset to match.

You're a truly agile thinker, who can drive the ambition, inspire the team (and business!) and make a real impact on our success.

What we can offer you:

  • Annual Bonus (dependant on Company & Individual Performance)
  • 25 days' annual leave, 2 days' charity leave, your birthday off and the option to buy and sell annual leave for up to 5 days per year.
  • Up to 20 days working from abroad every 12 months
  • Company Pension
  • Private Health Care
  • Travel Insurance
  • Exciting global travel industry discounts including flights with hotels, rail, cruises & tour operators also available through travel providers
  • Unlimited standby and premium standby fares for you and your nominees on the full BA network and numerous other partner airlines
  • Discounts on BA flights and holidays from day one for you, your friends and family
  • Life Assurance
  • Cycle scheme
  • New Joiner Avios/Birthday Avios/Thank you Avios

This role will be based out of our London office (Thomas House, Eccleston Square, London). We have a flexible working policy where a blended approach is encouraged, with the focus on being in the correct location for the work that needs to be undertaken. This will involve a mix of office and home working.

Inclusion and diversity are integral to the success of IAG Loyalty. We continuously encourage an organisational culture where colleagues with varying perspectives, life experiences and backgrounds can work together to achieve their and the organisation's potential.
