Site Supervisor (Substations) – Strategic Role in Lanarkshire!

TGRC is seeking a proactive Site Supervisor to oversee substations projects in Lanarkshire. This 12-month contract offers a day rate of £375 and is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in the transmission and distribution sectors looking to make a significant impact in the energy industry.

About the Role

As a Site Supervisor in Lanarkshire, you will manage the daily operations of substations projects, ensuring that they are executed efficiently, safely, and in line with project specifications. Your leadership will directly influence the success and reliability of energy distribution across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Direct and oversee the daily operations at substations, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with project plans and compliance standards.

  • Safety Compliance: Implement and monitor comprehensive safety protocols, conduct safety drills and inspections, and ensure all team members adhere to the highest safety standards.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Project Coordination: Liaise with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and any challenges faced, ensuring effective communication across project teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience supervising substations or related projects in transmission and distribution.

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field.

  • Certifications: Must possess all relevant Health & Safety (H&S) certifications.

  • Skills: Strong organizational and leadership skills, excellent communication capabilities, and adept at problem-solving and decision-making.
