Job Description: An opportunity has arisen for a first opinion small animal experienced vet to join the happy and vibrant team at a practice in Ely, located in a lovely setting, behind the beautiful Cathedral and market square.
Here the team pride themselves on their kindness and compassion to each other and their patients and clients. Their aim being to treat every patient as if they were their own and go above and beyond to offer the best possible care in every situation.
They are looking for a vet who is comfortable with routine medical cases and surgeries. They are happy to consider full time or part time options, with flexibility in the rota to suit the right candidate, and no out of hours cover required.
They can offer opportunities for progression in a number of areas, whether that’s building on your overall clinical experience, picking up leadership responsibilities or mentoring less experienced team members. They are keen to encourage the development of any specific interests within the team and will fund CPD up to certificate level.
The practice has a lovely, loyal client base, the majority of whom are insured, which enables the team to work up cases to a high standard in-house. For those cases where they need extra help and advice, they have peripatetic ophthalmology, orthopaedic and cardiology services, as well as several local referral centres they can call upon.
They aim to ensure our team have the time they need to work-up cases to the level they pride ourselves on. Regular breaks are scheduled throughout our working day, double consults are booked for more complex cases and their nurses carry out consults and Schedule 3 procedures. They endeavour to leave on time and on the rare occasion that they don’t, overtime can either be paid or taken in lieu.
Included in the package on offer:
A salary of up to £70k + £5k welcome bonus

RCVS, BVA, VDS membership
