Job Description

Charles Jeffrey Loverboy looking for a social media coordinator to lead the development of our various social channels and build upon the thriving LOVERBOY community with whom the brand communicates.

The role is responsible for planning, developing, and executing impactful, brand-centric content to drive long-term brand equity and will oversee the creation and distribution of content across multiple social media platforms.

This role will work closely with and report to the marketing manager and creative director’s to test and build new social-first strategies, brainstorm and execute platform-specific content, analyse performance, and grow our communities in an authentic way.

This role will lead the initiative to translate the brand's identity and tone into original, compelling social content and will embrace the idea of authentic, brand-right marketing.

The ideal candidate is driven and ambitious, can move new ideas forward with ease, and is a creative strategist with strong execution skills who understands brand development and storytelling and will use marketing analytics and data to make decisions.

Key Responsibility

  • Drive strategy, planning, and execution of brand marketing initiatives across social media channels through content storytelling to ensure a consistent brand message, increase brand awareness, grow the audience, and drive engagement.
  • Produce and deliver engaging and unique social media campaigns to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Leverage your proven ability to translate business objectives and strategies into creative concepts across a variety of KPIs (awareness, traffic, sales, etc.).
  • Write, schedule, and optimise daily social media posts across multiple platforms.
  • Build and maintain a social calendar to promote products, events, and brand initiatives in alignment with the overarching brand strategy.
  • Work alongside and support relevant team members within PR, marketing, and sales to ensure consistent social media coverage and brand management across all platforms.
  • Engage with LOVERBOY’s communities through authentic conversations and ensure brand-related questions, comments, and opportunities are addressed with speed, good judgement, and in alignment with the brand’s signature voice.
  • Act as a liaison point for all social media-related customer inquiries.
  • Manage daily posts and community engagement.
  • Monitor global news, current events, and cultural conversations and how they relate to and effect brand social channels and content.
  • Feed into conversations with photographers, talent, and influencers, helping to develop detailed creative briefs to deliver original, social-first content that amplifies brand storytelling campaigns in line with the LOVERBOY aesthetic.
  • Cultivate relationships with and manage outreach to tastemakers and opinion leaders to cultivate brand ambassadors, expand the community of advocates, and secure brand-enhancing coverage.
  • Work quickly and in sync with LOVERBOY’s creative team to carry our voice throughout all social platforms through posting, engagement, and asset creation.
  • Oversee international wholesale partners leveraging their networks to amplify our brand story in a consistent and brand-right way.
  • Design and facilitate the annual social media marketing budget.
  • Implement paid social campaigns at key touchpoints to highlight new projects, products, and brand events.
  • Define metrics and KPIs to measure the success and impact of social efforts across channels, continuously improving performance through analysis and insights.
  • Create recap reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis to be shared with the senior leadership team.
  • Monitor and forecast digital trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and risks, as well as assess competitors and make recommendations.

Experience and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent
  • Experience with new and existing social media platforms and a technical understanding of how to generate community growth, awareness, and engagement
  • Experience in the digital space with a solid understanding of and active engagement with social media platforms (i.e., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Broad experience, including brand identity, art direction, content strategy and development, video, and social media, is preferred.
  • Well-versed in digital media and social media metrics and monitoring tools
  • Working knowledge of fashion/high aesthetic taste level
  • Ability to strategise, present, and build out SM-focused campaigns and new ideas
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects from inception to completion with accountability for goal setting and results

  • Fluency in English is essential, both verbally and in writing.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is beneficial, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent time management and project skills.

  • Comfortable and confident in making effective decisions in a timely manner.
