Why the job exists

  • To work across different accounts to support the content production and scheduling, as well as advising on channel best practices.
  • To work with the project teams and local Social Media teams to consult on the strategies.
  • To work with the Head of Content to scope and define the Social Media offering within the business, as well as adapt it as required to continually meet best practice. 
  • To continually uphold the brand guidelines of our client partners and find new ways to improve performance.
  • To provide ongoing insights through social listening to help inform content creation planning and execution. This includes using these insights to help shape non-social content planning, such as editorial and creative.
  • We work with a variety of clients across the Beauty, Food & Beverage, Health & Wellness, and Pharma industries, so a mix of experience is desirable.
  • We cover both B2C and B2B, however B2B will be the primary focus of this role initially, particularly working with brands in Food Services and Pharma industries.

What the job covers

  • Primary Channels to have experience in include: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn.
  • Knowledge of best practice in digital publishing, web, SEO, and CRM.
  • Setting and monitoring social media best practices and quality standards across the EMEA region.
  • Setting and refining the Social Media service offering within the business, including required tools and resources for optimal efficiency and performance.
  • Building and evolving an internal social media team that will fulfil our business and client needs.
  • Social Media content planning and asset production, alongside our Strategy, Editorial, Creative, and Production teams.
  • Establish Community Management Guidelines for each of our accounts where required.
  • Outreach to experts (internal, client and external) for original content creationand problem-solving regarding Community Management queries.
  • Communication with clients and brands for ongoing strategic development and opportunity sizing.
  • Work with the local teams to ensure that there is a clear and consistent Social Media performance report (monthly).
  • Influencer strategy and management.

Reporting and Communication Structure

  • Reports to the Head of Content, EMEA

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the broader EMEA teams on a day-to-day basis for strategy, planning, production, and reporting.
  • Oversee all social media account activity to ensure smooth delivery and content excellence is maintained.
  • Review & maintain processes regarding social media work on a regular basis.
  • Lead on social media insights gathering to inform the direction of our content creation formats & internal service offering.
  • Working with GPC creative and production teams to brief assets and adjustments whenever necessary.
  • Review all monthly social calendars, schedule and deliver content for the month.
  • Set up and manage local retailer/influencer/brand partnerships and competitions on social platforms.
  • Participate in and lead the pitching of our social media offering to new clients.
  • Interviewing for senior social media resources for our teams.
  • Copywriting captions, content, CRM newsletters and articles as required.
  • Working knowledge of best practice across digital platforms including web, social and CRM.

  • Overall quality and performance of editorial output
  • Social media/CM outputs and deadlines being met each month
  • Editorial outputs and deadlines being met each month
  • Client relationship and satisfaction with editorial content quality and performance
  • Peer feedback as collated by line manager
  • Execution and review of the editorial best practice & TOV guide created
