Job Description

Job Purpose:To design, plan and implement ODEON’s Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, sales and delivery of ODEON content initiatives across the UK and Ireland.Key Accountabilities:Manage and produce daily content across ODEON social media channels in the UK and Ireland, to high standards of excellence, spelling, grammar etcResponsibility for the development and execution of the ODEON Social Media content calendar and briefing sessions ; bringing initiatives and campaigns to life to social media best practice and brand guidelines – engaging, lively and warm.Working with social media agency for influencer campaignsPublish reactive content according to slate, trends and news cycleSource and brief assets for appropriate social media use ensuring usage and sign off is secured internally and from distributorsSuggest and implement new features or products to develop brand awarenessCreate distributor funded advertising campaigns using Facebook custom audiences, Twitter tailored audiences and provide wrap up reports in a timely mannerProduce monthly competitor and performance report as well as adhoc reports as required by internal stakeholdersReport weekly progress to senior management for trading Maintain awareness of the role of guest services in the delivery of the social media strategy and prepared to support them during peak periodsAttend screenings and industry events when required Key Skills:Proven experience in a social media role (agency or client side) is essentialDesign and excellent copy writing skills experience is essentialUse of social media scheduling tools is essential i.e Sprout or HootsuiteStrong experience using Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Letterboxd and Threads in an organic and paid capacityExperience ideally gained within a B2C based environmentAbility to track and measure the success of campaignsExperience in developing social media strategiesExcellent organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projectsSolid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics is desirableODEON benefits: Bonus SchemePension SchemeHybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office)Unlimited free cinema tickets for you, and 12 friends and family tickets every three months 40% discount on our food and drinks, including our in-cinema Costa Coffee stores Private Medical InsuranceCritical Illness CoverLife AssuranceFree access to our confidential Employee Assistance Programme – an online platform that offers advice and support on topics including finance, health, and mental wellbeingThe opportunity to gain professional qualifications through our Bright Lights Apprenticeship scheme Fantastic career development opportunities across our cinemas and support offices
