Role Description
This is a part-time remote role as a Social Media Manager at BTF®. As a Social Media Manager, your day-to-day tasks will include managing and executing social media marketing campaigns, creating engaging content, developing and implementing social media strategies, optimizing social media platforms, and writing compelling copy.

Black Tech Fest (BTF) is seeking a talented and creative Social Media Manager to join our team. BTF is a leading organization dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. In this role, you will play a critical role in developing and executing our social media strategy, showcasing the incredible work of Black professionals in tech, and driving awareness for our events.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across all major platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.)
* Create engaging and informative content that resonates with our target audience (Black professionals in tech, aspiring tech minds, and allies)
* Manage and grow our social media following across all platforms
* Schedule and publish regular social media posts
* Monitor social media trends and conversations relevant to Black professionals in tech
* Develop and execute social media campaigns to promote BTF events, initiatives, and partnerships
* Analyze social media data and reporting to measure campaign performance and identify areas for improvement
* Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and tools
* Collaborate with the BTF team to develop and promote content across other platforms
Qualifications:
* 2-3 years of experience in social media management
* Proven experience developing and implementing successful social media campaigns
* Strong understanding of social media best practices and analytics
* Excellent content creation skills (writing, graphic design, video editing)
* Experience working in the tech industry (a plus)
* Passion for diversity and inclusion in tech
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
