Social Media Manager

Location: Manchester, hybrid

Salary: £50k to £60k DOE, up to 30% sales bonus

Permanent: Full time

We are on the lookout for an experienced Social Media Manager to join an established FMCG company. The right candidate will have a vital responsibility in enhancing brand recognition, interaction, and revenue via strategic social media and digital marketing endeavours.

The Role:

  • Develop and execute strategies to boost brand visibility, engagement, and conversions for our client across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
  • Craft and curate engaging content tailored to our audience, highlighting our client’s products and promoting healthy snacking habits.
  • Oversee social media accounts, including content planning, posting, community management, and influencer partnerships. Track and analyse performance metrics to refine strategies.
  • Manage social media ad campaigns to enhance brand messaging, target key audiences, and maximise ROI.
  • Identify and build relationships with influencers, bloggers, and content creators to expand brand reach and generate user-generated content.
  • Implement SEO strategies to improve website visibility and rankings. Conduct keyword research and optimize content to drive organic traffic.
  • Work with content creators and developers to enhance website content, meta tags, and site structure for better SEO performance and user experience.
  • Execute PPC campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and Bing Ads to drive targeted traffic and conversions, optimising for maximum ROI.
  • Run affiliate campaigns to expand brand reach, drive referral traffic, and achieve marketing goals in collaboration with partners.
  • Create dashboards and reports to inform leadership on performance and recommend improvements.
  • Develop strategies to increase subscribers and engagement on our client’s YouTube channel, promoting content across platforms.

Who are we looking for?

  • Professional qualification in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in social media, YouTube channel management, and digital marketing, ideally within the food/consumer goods or gaming/entertainment industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, YouTube analytics, and advertising tools, with a keen interest in emerging trends.
  • Expertise in SEO tools like SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog for conducting audits, monitoring performance, and identifying optimisation opportunities.
  • Strong ability to interpret data and insights for informed decision-making, with experience in report generation and data-driven optimisations.
  • Proven success in optimising video content, including titles, descriptions, and tags, to enhance search visibility and audience engagement.
  • Experience in creating engaging video content, including animation or similar visual formats.
  • Proficient in video editing software and production tools to produce high-quality, visually appealing content.
  • Experience in promoting YouTube videos across social media and digital channels to maximise reach and engagement.
  • Understanding of influencer marketing and partnership strategies for cross-promotion and audience growth.
