TransferRoom is a hyper-growth B2B SaaS business on a mission to change the football transfer market for the better. We do this by empowering football clubs, agents and players to be successful in the transfer market by giving them real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision-makers.

Since our launch in 2017, clubs have used TransferRoom to facilitate over 3,000 transfers, and we are proud that today over 650 clubs from 60+ countries and 100+ leagues are currently using the platform

TransferRoom is looking for a Social Media Manager to join us on our mission to change the football transfer market for the better. This role will be responsible for day to day management of our social media channels in order to deepen our engagement and global awareness with clubs, agents and players.

Outcomes

  • Day-to-day management of social media channels. You will grow our social media audiences, help to accelerate TransferRoom’s digital footprint and deepen our engagement and awareness with clubs, agents and players
  • Understand the brand strategy and narrative, the marketing strategy and the implications and focus for content and social media output
  • Generate new business opportunities from social channels and prove the commercial impact of your social media activity, across all stages of the funnel
  • Planning, creating and publishing (plus editing where needed) of content for TransferRoom's owned and operated platforms (such as Instagram, X, YouTube and LinkedIn) plus many more exciting platforms that we’re launching soon
  • Plan and deliver content captured at TransferRoom Summits and Deal Days, including on-stage panel discussions. Drive sign-ups pre-event and maximise our social media engagement before, during and after events
  • Work with Senior Content Manager and Head of PR to identify opportunities to raise TR profile and collaborate with external content creators, influencers, publishers and media outlets
  • Editing and creating video content, and commissioning production from external partners
  • Brief and manage Graphic Designer and work with them to deliver impactful visual assets to enhance content across our social media channels
  • Production of compelling customer case studies and success stories, and announcements of new clubs, agents and players on joining the platform, to support sales, customer success and retention teams
  • Use data to analyse, inform and enhance content
  • Optimise all content according to SEO strategy and growth marketing principles
  • Deliver careers-based content for our Talent Acquisition team
  • Communicate and champion the latest social media trends, platform innovations and reporting tools - how they impact football and the transfer space

Characteristics

  • You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of football and/or the football transfer market and how social media can play a role in setting TransferRoom apart as the go-to platform for clubs, agents and players
  • You have strong copywriting/editorial skills and an eye for telling a good story
  • You’re curious as a person and passionate about creating engaging social content and building brands
  • You have creative flair combined with a customer-centric and analytical approach to social content creation and measurement
  • You are highly organised with a strong attention to detail and an ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • You have a hunger for continuous improvement by keeping an eye on social content marketing and social media trends for inspiration

Experience

  • 5+ years social media and social content management experience at a fast-paced company, ideally at a sports organisation or agency
  • Strong copywriting/editorial skills and demonstrated success and adaptability in creating content for multiple social media platforms
  • Proven experience working across multiple audiences and with multiple stakeholders, including key internal departments, partners and external production agencies (e.g. marketing, design, PR, agencies. publishers)
  • A true social media expert and someone who understands the end-to-end role of social; social media planning and strategy, publishing and distribution, measurement and reporting (including platform best practice and reporting tools)

Desirable:

  • Experience in video production (editing a bonus), and commissioning video content production from external videographers or production partners
  • Agency experience (creative, social or production)
  • Football experience (agency, brand or rightsholder)
