We want to talk to you!Join our community.We are looking for a social media manager to join our recently formed, social media team. This newly created position will sit within Corporate Communications as part of a specialist team working across corporate communications and marketing to deliver a holistic social media strategy across the UK.Managing a small team, you will help us engage with audiences on social media channels in a meaningful way, drive positive sentiment, create content, deliver thought leadership, and accelerate colleague advocacy. You’ll also help us listen to and understand the conversations that are being had online and how we can influence these to support our goals.The difference you’ll make:Supporting the design of the brand content strategy – aligning content to our purposeWorking closely with Media Relations, Internal Communications, Marketing and Employee Brand teams, this individual is accountable for listening and reacting appropriately to social media to help manage reputational risk to the bank.Managing and enhancing the Bank’s listening capabilities and sharing insight across the organisation, working closely with media relations team to address any developing issuesLeading a programme of thought leadership across social media including management of senior leadership profilesWorking with teams across the business to develop a programme of activity to enhance employee advocacy across social mediaDeveloping a test and learn plan to deliver insights on content performance and effectivenessWhat you’ll bring: Proven understanding and management of established and emerging social media platformsExperience in managing reputational risk, sharing insights across the business and working with relevant teams to manage emerging issues.It would also be nice for you to have:An interest in and understanding of current affairs and what drives the newsA passion for social media content with excellent writing skills and experience in video/graphics content creationKnowledge of Santander products, channels and segments or brings relevant experience from another financial organisationExcellent communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence across our business and with external partnersWhat else you need to know:We want our people to thrive at work and home, and we recognise that many people benefit from flexible arrangements.
