Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in children's services? A local authority in South West London is seeking experienced professionals to join its dynamic Children with Disabilities Team.
Position: Qualified Social Worker - Children with Disabilities Team
Location: South West London
Salary: Up to £38.50 per hour
Benefits:
- Competitive pay rate in line with London pledge rates (£37ph for Social Workers, £38.50ph for Senior Social Workers)

- Full-time role (36 hours per week)
- Hybrid work model: Based in the office/out in the community 3 days a week
Responsibilities:
- Assessing the needs of children and young people with disabilities to determine required specialist intervention or mainstream activities
- Evaluating the needs of children with severe and profound disabilities for short breaks support for them and their families
- Developing and implementing care plans (Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children Looked After) to ensure the needs of children and young people are met
- Conducting home, school, and community visits, including direct work with children using appropriate communication methods
- Collaborating with multi-agency teams (health, education, etc.) to ensure comprehensive care for children and young people
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work is required
- Completion of ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment) is mandatory
- Experience working with children with disabilities
- Registration with Social Work England
- Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload
