Are you a dedicated and qualified social worker seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people? I am currently recruiting for a Children's Social Worker to join a busy Duty & Assessment Service at Wigan Council.
Responsibilities:
The nature of the work within the duty service can be described as fast paced and as a Senior Practitioner within the team in duty you will work on one of the 5 duty teams - only going on duty every 5 weeks. The duty teams in Wigan hold a varying complexity of cases; in their duty service case transfer points include the initial child protection case conference, the first CLA review, the first PLO meeting and the 3rd CIN meeting.
Wigan work to hybrid model meaning they can be flexible when you come into the office.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant certifications
- Ideally 3+ years Duty & Assessment experience
- Registration with Social Work England
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Working as a Qualified Social Worker with Service Care Solutions
· £150 after 4 weeks in an assignment if you have not previously worked with us
· £250 for every Qualified Social Worker you refer over to us
· £150 to you for sourcing your own job and referring it to Service Care Solutions
· £250 each year to help with your Continuing Professional Development
