Calderdale Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Adult Social Worker (Level 3) to join our dynamic All Age Disability Team in Halifax. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of vulnerable adults in our community with a great pay rate of £35ph.
About the Role:
- You will work collaboratively within the team to assess the needs of adults with disabilities, ensuring they receive the appropriate support and services.
- This role will involve complex casework, requiring a strong understanding of the Court of Protection procedures.
- As part of the team's duty system, you will respond to urgent enquiries and requests.
What you will bring:
- Qualified Social Worker (Level 3) with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex cases and Court of Protection work.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and advocacy skills.
- A commitment to working collaboratively with service users, families, and other professionals.
The Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of £35.
- 37-hour contract (Monday-Friday).
- Hybrid working model - 3 days in the office (Shay Football Stadium, Halifax) and 2 days flexible working.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or equivalent qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience working with vulnerable children
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full enhanced DBS
