Role: Software Architect (Technical, Applications)

Salary: Up to £115,000 (+ bonus up to 15%)
Are you an Architect that wants to get back to being close to software engineering and the technical detail? Or, are you previously a software engineer that has recently stepped into Architecture? Do you currently feel like a cog in a machine but want to make a difference on a global scale?
Stott and May are working with a well-known brand in the e-commerce space as they look to grow their business. Working with a large software engineering team (50+), this positions sits within a very lean architecture function. As an Architect, you will play a crucial role in providing technical guidance and support with input and solution design towards strategic goals.
Experience:
- Strong experience with Java is a must with a willingness to take part in code reviews
- An understanding of App technologies (Concepts, principles, patterns of frontend/Web Technologies
- Hands-on architecture experience with cloud technologies/tools/DevOps
- GCP experience (Ideally) - alternatively AWS or Azure experience is fine!
Bonus experience:
- An understanding of the concepts and principles of Data warehouses
- Knowledge of Android (Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift) / broader mobile experience welcome
- Experience working on Cost Optimisation projects highly beneficial
