Software Developer - GreenTech

A rising digital start-up with 30 employees that creates consumer products for sustainable energy is searching for a Software Developer to join their team.
You will collaborate with 15 engineers on various greenfield projects, creating frameworks and databases from scratch. They are a tech-focused, tech for good company. There is no technological debt in this fascinating scale-up. As the Software Developer, you will have a deep understanding of Computer Science as well as experience with domain modelling, requirement engineering, design and initial bootstrapping.
Tech stack: Java 18 (upgrading to Java 19), microservices, AWS, and Kubernetes (with some Vue.js and Node.js on the frontend)
You, as the Software Developer (GreenTech), will be a great fit for this role if you have:
A PhD background in Computer Science
Commercial software development experience, ideally in Java or C
Experience with Advanced Computer Science Algorithms, Graph Theory, Interval Graphs, Compiler Theory
An innovative mindset, want to be part of a disruptive scale-up and want to contribute to product ideas
Passion to work in a Tech For Good sector improving the sustainable lifestyle of consumer
In order to assist this business become the dominant disruptor in its industry, they are looking for a creative Software Developer that wants to contribute fresh concepts for creating fascinating sustainable solutions. They support the use of pair programming and Agile methodologies and promote current development practices.
Salary: Approx. £130,000 - £140,000 + shares + benefits
100% remote working. Must be based in the UK.
