Peaple Talent have partnered with an exciting, innovative and award winning software company who are currently going through a period of growth and are expanding their development team and are recruiting a SDET who will work on both software testing and software development.


The role will focus on automated test, robustness, and performance of software releases and software and will be responsible for manual testing. Along with experience C#, .Net, IOS, Cypress and GitHub you will thrive within the fast paced environment and be a keen communicator who’s not afraid to try new ideas and approaches.


This role would ideally be based in Exeter but would consider candidates based in a Bristol location.


Role & Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and extend automation frameworks.

• Undertake manual testing.

• Troubleshoot and problem solve software bugs and issues.

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code.

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Undertake any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required to fulfil commitments to customers and achieve the overall objectives of the business.

• Be the subject matter expert for testing and automation.

• Ensure work has clearly stated acceptance criteria.

• Maintain work items and reporting on test actions.

• Research and recommend test tools, methods, and processes.


Essential Skills:

• Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems.

• Familiarity with the .NET framework.

• Skill for writing clean, readable C# code and reusable C# libraries.

• Experience testing containerised applications and Microservices.

• Proficient with automated testing tools, including Cypress.

• Experience testing on iOS and Android.

• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.

• Proficient in GitHub.

• A willingness to learn and openness new experiences.

• Knowledge of agile product development.

• Able to work effectively both as part of a team and individually.


Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of Amazon web services.

• Experience with Front End development, particularly Angular.

• Knowledge of agile tools, preferably Jira.

• Experience with Application Performance Monitoring tools, preferably Datadog.

• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Familiarity of DevOps skills, Terraform.

• Knowledge of Flutter for mobile development.
