Job Title: Software Development Manager - Healthcare / Care Services
Location: Birmingham HQ - Remote Working Available
Salary: £50,000 - £80,000
We are looking for a talented Software Development Manager (or somebody ready to take that jump) to join a leading Software Company, specialising in Software Solutions designed with a focus on home care providers. They have a strong history consisting of 12 years dedicated to improving the organisation and delivery of care services, making a positive difference and improving all aspects of the care system through development and programming languages.
As a Software Development Manager, you will lead the engineering team in the development and delivery of software solutions, ensuring that software engineering processes and best practices are followed. You will oversee the full life cycle of software development, from requirements gathering and design, to development and testing, to deployment and maintenance. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the engineering staff and setting the technical direction for the team.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead and manage the software engineering team, setting the technical direction and ensuring that software engineering processes and best practices are followed
* Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for the Healthcare / Care Services industry
* Manage the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
* Ensure that software solutions are delivered on time and within budget
* Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
* Implement and maintain software engineering processes and best practices
* Maintain technical knowledge of industry trends and best practices
* Work closely with other departments to ensure successful delivery of software solutions
Requirements:
* 4+ years of software engineering
* Proven track record of successful software engineering leadership
* Strong understanding of software engineering processes and best practices
* In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming, software design, and development
* Experience with C# and JavaScript
