Senior Software Engineer at a Market Research Innovator

Cambridge - Hybrid - 3 days per week

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

  • Contribute to the software strategy and architecture of cutting-edge market research tools.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage applications, tools, and services.
  • Ensure performance, stability, and security of data collection and processing platforms.
  • Manage application and database deployments and infrastructure.
  • Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver client-centric data platforms and applications.
  • Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, continuously exploring and integrating new technologies.

Tools and Technologies:

You'll work with a diverse range of tools, including but not limited to:

  • Backend technology, Python.
  • Databases like MSSQL.
  • Front-end technology, Java.
  • Cloud platform, AWS.
  • Programming language, JavaScript (React.js)
  • Big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.

What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Python, MS SQL, Java, AWS, JavaScript.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and automated testing.
  • Ability to work in a self sufficient capacity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a 'gets things done' mentality.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies.
