Software Engineer
Midlands/Onsite
Salary : up to £45k
Interview Process : 2 Stages – within 72 hours – Teams + Face to Face
We’ve just started working with an IoT Business based in the midlands that have some pretty aggressive hiring plans for 2024, given the success of their offering last year, we are looking for a Node/Backend Developer that has experience both backend development but also developing on memory constrained devices. Youll be a engineer ideally with a few year experience, please consider this as a mid level role.
My client is seeking an Engineer that is looking for a challenge both technically and commercially. You’ll be adept with knowledge of the IoT Eco-system including Wireless protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, WiFi, BLE and cloud technologies within the eco system such as IoT Core / IoT Hub. You will be at home with understanding Smart Building, HVAC and ultimately the aim of creating smart buildings and the benefits
There is without doubt an element of owning this part of the business is on offer here, you will be bringing in this current – outsourced model, so let’s say that you’ll be busy. If you’re a Developer that has experience with developing in Node.js, Python and familiar with memory constrained devices then this is an opportunity for you. If applying you should be fairly adapt in the understanding of embedded systems.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Embedded Systems & Linux
- Development experience within Node.js / TypeScript
- Familiar with communication protocols such as MQTT/CoAP/WIFI/BLE
- Understanding of and interest in Smart Buildings, HVAC
- Experience with/use of Microcontrollers
