Job Description
Primarily based on site at Stone, the Software Engineer will be required to travel to client premises on occasion to undertake software modification, commissioning or to attend meetings.
Key duties will include:
The design, documentation, development, testing and commissioning of PLC based control systems
Troubleshooting in the field and providing appropriate support
Assisting in the development/implementation of new control systems
Maintaining development/design records within the QA system
Attending design working group meetings
Key skills and experience required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience of programming languages: ST (preferred); FBD; SFC and LLD
Knowledge of process control principles
Experience of complete software/systems design lifecycle
In depth knowledge of network/serial communications protocols and hardware
Experience/knowledge of project lifecycle
Hours of work: Monday Friday, 9.00am 5.00pm
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
Own transport essential due to office location.
