Job Description
Our client is a top supplier of automated conveying and material handling systems worldwide. They excel in designing custom solutions, handling everything from the initial idea to full implementation. Their services include unit load conveying, sorting technology, automated storage and retrieval systems, controls, warehouse management systems, and IT integration.
A bit about the role:
- The PLC Engineer will develop intralogistics warehouse automation solutions from concept to completion
- Create PLC code and related processes from the ground up
- Coordinate with in-house electrical design engineers using Eplan or Autocad, overseeing the full design phase
- Lead the implementation and final commissioning
- This is a great opportunity for an experienced PLC Software Commissioning engineer who's skilled with Siemens and Allen Bradley platforms like Step 7, TIA Portal, and Logix5000.
- Developing PLC code and processes from scratch.
- If you're familiar with conveyor systems and warehouse ASRS systems, that's a big plus.
- It would also be beneficial if you have knowledge of bar coding, WCS/WMS systems, and networks like Asi, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet IP.
What’s required:
- Candidates must be able to develop PLC code from scratch
- A background in logistics or fulfilment would be ideal, or warehouse design.
- Must be familiar with Step 7, TIA Portal, and Logix5000.
- Networking experience is highly advantageous, including Profibus, Profinet and Ethernet.
