You will be responsible for the next generation of tools supporting the developer experience, including monitoring & alerting, incident response, and orchestration. This extends from off-the-shelf tools such as GitHub, Prometheus, and PagerDuty, to custom application and pipeline orchestration environments and large Kubernetes installations.


Responsibilities:
  • Build websites, dashboards, apps, API's or infrastructure that meet a pre-defined use case.
  • Contribute to the development of systems and tools that serve as a backbone to run internal services and batch jobs.
  • Make functional or performance enhancements to an existing codebase, configuration, and databases.
  • Provide technical feedback into product roadmaps for the team.
  • Contribute to making our services elastic and fault- tolerant from the inside and nimble and agile to changing customer and industry needs.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate with their systems or tools.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to address operational issues with services.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in at least one compiled or scripting language. Golang, Java, or Python preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply learnings to projects.
  • Proficient in logical reasoning and mathematics that can be put to use in troubleshooting and analyzing data.
  • Ability to build small scale software development projects and learn new languages and/or frameworks.
  • Optimize code and fix defects by debugging, reviewing documentation or online resources.
  • Ability to balance learning and productivity, communicate and document effectively.
  • Provide and receive constructive criticism, regarding work, business processes, or code.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with building and maintaining containerized applications.
  • Exposure to infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
