You will be responsible for the next generation of tools supporting the developer experience, including monitoring & alerting, incident response, and orchestration. This extends from off-the-shelf tools such as GitHub, Prometheus, and PagerDuty, to custom application and pipeline orchestration environments and large Kubernetes installations.
Responsibilities:- Build websites, dashboards, apps, API's or infrastructure that meet a pre-defined use case.
- Contribute to the development of systems and tools that serve as a backbone to run internal services and batch jobs.
- Make functional or performance enhancements to an existing codebase, configuration, and databases.
- Provide technical feedback into product roadmaps for the team.
- Contribute to making our services elastic and fault- tolerant from the inside and nimble and agile to changing customer and industry needs.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate with their systems or tools.
- Participate in on-call rotation to address operational issues with services.
- Proficiency in at least one compiled or scripting language. Golang, Java, or Python preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply learnings to projects.
- Proficient in logical reasoning and mathematics that can be put to use in troubleshooting and analyzing data.
- Ability to build small scale software development projects and learn new languages and/or frameworks.
- Optimize code and fix defects by debugging, reviewing documentation or online resources.
- Ability to balance learning and productivity, communicate and document effectively.
- Provide and receive constructive criticism, regarding work, business processes, or code.
- Experience with building and maintaining containerized applications.
- Exposure to infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
