Role - Senior Software Engineer - JVM Languages
Location - Remote with occasional visits to London office
Salary - £65000 to £80000
The Opportunity:
We are working with a company who are embarking on a project that will truly transform the way in which they operate. It's a Multi-Billion Pound Turnover business but the project you'll be working on is effectively “Green-field” and they're recruiting a team of talented Software Engineers / Developers to join right at the start, playing a key role in developing a game changing technology platform. We have a 15 minute interview with the CTO which we're happy to share so you can hear first hand what they're developing.
The Role:
Your role will be as part of team of high calibre Software Engineers / Software Developers developing a marketplace / eCommerce SaaS platform that brings together owners & customers of commercial real estate. It's Data led and uses Machine Learning and AI to continually improve customer journey and experience.
You'll be working on their current implementation frameworks and patterns which are AWS, Terraform, Docks and languages utilising the JVM in an Automation centric environment.
Specific Tasks:
Define, develop and build services that elegantly scale, are automation first and can quickly expand in a DevOps model
Contribute to the tech and products strategy
Pick new work autonomously and be a real problem solver unblocking issues either directly or by reaching out for help
Write clear documentation, tests and recommendation
Be part of code reviews to enable both your growth and the growth of others
The Person:
You'll be an experienced Developer with skills across the JVM such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, Groovy or Closure. You'll have worked in a DevOps environment in an AWS (or Azure / GCP) environment and will have a passion for building simple & elegant Software Services and Products. Ideally this will have beein in a data centric, automation led environment.
Key though is attitude, passion and a desire to work on a really ground breaking product in what will feel like a start up environment but backed by the funds of major corporate. Salary circa £80k + 15% bonus and the role can be based remotely with very occasional (approximately quarterly) to the London offices.
