SOFTWARE ENGINEER MODELLER – CONTRACT 12 MONTHS – PRESTON Lancashire
The role is to develop a toolset to extract aircraft, weapon and target data from weapon simulator reports and databus recordings and plot, in a 3D world environment, to enable detailed post-test analysis. Including scenario playback with event highlighting.
AT THE COAL FACE TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand the avionics & missile datalink structure.
Develop a new tool to perform the datalink analysis which will include;
Initial target/system data
Weapon release events
System provided continued downlink data
Weapon provided continued uplink data
Datalink cessation events
Visual representation of data
Scenario playback with event highlighting
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Software engineering
MatLab modelling or data visualisation (or similar)
