Software Engineer, Navigations\Communications Simulation and Modelling
Yateley, near Farnborough Remote working available
£55-£65k + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Modelling and simulation are at the core of these systems and to support our developments and business strategy we are seeking to expand the simulation capability. The team will provide rigorous analytical products, which will be used to guide product development and convince customers of our deep understanding and value.
In this position you will develop a deep understanding of Sonardynes hybrid navigation and\or communication platforms, simulators, and data analysis products and use this to develop model-driven analysis and simulation software frameworks that can be used for mission planning (faster than real-time), performance prediction and hardware in the loop (HIL) evaluation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Outstanding communication skills to include visual presentation of complex data.

Nominal proficiency with physics-math scripting of your choice (e.g., MATLAB, SIMULINK, Python+numpy, scipy)

Minimum of 5 years in relevant Science and/or engineering related field; relevant academic experience (BSc., MSc. PhD) also qualifies

Signal processing experience. For example, data fusion, filtering techniques and code optimisation.

Proficiency with C/C++.

UK security clearance

Academic qualification (BSc., MSc. PhD) in an Engineering, Physics or Mathematics discipline


There will be some travel attached to this position but its not extensive.
This position would suit someone who is able to multipurpose, able to interface with stakeholders including internal programs and external customers. Youll likely be a careful listener to the needs of the stakeholder and then design rigorous math and physics analyses leading to clear and compelling value propositions. Modelling, Simulation, and Analysis often complement demonstration events that together leave no doubt that Sonardyne offers real capability.
Non-UK nationals would have to have been living in UK for 5years to be eligible for security clearance.
