The role:

As Project Support Officer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing project support to the Delivery Team (Development, Business Analysis, QA and Project Management).
  • Create and support with governance needs for projects ensuring regular reports, communications plans and key milestone plans are in place for all projects.
  • Project Resourcing
  • Maintain the resource plan, working with the Delivery team managers to agree the most suitable teams for working on projects
  • Tracking available days to resource projects (customer and internal) and Delivery team member availability
  • New Project Set Up
  • Supporting the Delivery team pre-sales process where required
  • Create project summaries, commercial summaries and new project packages to support a new project being assigned to a Project team.
  • Ensure an understanding of the scope and commercials for all new projects.
  • Tracking project start up times.
  • Project Tracking and Reporting
  • Facilitate regular project status catch ups with Project Managers and Delivery team managers and ensure all updates are documented.
  • Communicate the weekly release schedule to all stakeholders.
  • Creation of weekly KPI reports for the Delivery team.
  • Escalate any projects that are overrunning on budget or delivering later than planned.
  • Time Reporting
  • Collate time and materials reports and validate against agreed commercials for invoices.
  • Track commercials for all projects, providing details of actual days delivered and projected remaining time
  • Facilitate Delivery Improvement update sessions including assignment of activities and capture of new items following project retrospectives


The kind of person you are:

  • Proven track record of support across multiple complex software projects
  • A self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and able to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce faultless reports.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passionate about project delivery improvement.
  • Experience of Jira, Confluence and Sharepoint as well as Microsoft Office applications.


Skills to impress:

  • Experience with Change Management processes
  • PMO Administrators certification course or similar
  • Airline Industry, Reservation Systems, Travel Industry experience

Location: Brighton/Hybrid for training and onboarding then open to remote working.

Hours: 37.5 per week, flexitime

Reports to: Programme Director
