Software Tester and Release Coordinator – Welcome Bonus up to £500
To ensure the software developed by Ashtons adheres to specifications, is free of bugs, operates correctly and smoothly and is free of security vulnerabilities. This role will work with the software development and other associated teams to ensure requirements are well thought out, test scenarios are well considered, constructed and executed and releases are well prepared, executed and tested.
Principal Accountabilities:
– Work with the development team during requirements gathering, feature design and specification stages to add value to ensure features are thoroughly considered
– Design test cases around new features and changes to ensure thorough test coverage
– Execute test cycles during development sprints to validate functionality works as specified and is free of defects
– Raise defects back to the development team
– Provide reporting on test cycles
– Develop automated testing layer
– Coordinate releases to ensure readiness for deployment
– Conduct release testing to ensure high quality releases
– Provide reporting on release quality and efficiency
– Participate in Agile workflows and meetings
Experience in:
– Designing, writing and executing test cases
– Designing and executing test plans
– Testing web applications
– Testing APIs
– Developing automated tests using Cypress or similar
– Participating in software release cycles
– Working in the health technology sector
– Working with databases during testing
Key Relationships:
This role will work closely with the Development Team along with Product Owners, DevOps Engineers and other project stakeholders.
