Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Validation And Verification Engineer to join our Basildon team in the defence sector. The role is hybrid and due to the nature of the defence industry will require successful applicant to be asole British citizen eligible for security clearance

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • HSI and Rig Testing: Conduct thorough testing and validation activities related to Human-System Interface and rig testing for missile system software.
  • Automated Testing: Implement and execute automated testing methodologies to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the software.
  • DO178 C Compliance: Ensure compliance with DO178 C standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Software Process Setup: Establish and maintain software processes for DAL C to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability.
  • Independent Reviews: Perform independent reviews of software artifacts to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Support to SW Quality Assurance: Provide support to software quality assurance activities, including defect tracking and resolution.
  • Collaborative Tools: Utilise collaborative tools such as Jira and Confluence for effective project management and communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience in software validation and verification, particularly in the defence industry.
  • Proficiency in HSI and rig testing methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DO178 C (or higher) standards and compliance.
  • Experience in setting up software processes for DAL C.
  • Ability to conduct independent reviews and support software quality assurance activities.
  • Proficiency in collaborative tools such as Jira and Confluence for project management and communication.
