Who are we:

Escode (formally Software Resilience) is a leading global provider of software resilience and business continuity solutions with over 18,000 customers worldwide and offices all over the world. We recently completed the exciting acquisition of Iron Mountain’s Intellectual Property Management (IPM) business. Together, the two businesses offer a rich, complementary set of services to customers globally, including industry leading software verification solutions and, excitingly, a cloud resilience proposition: Escrow-as-a-Service (EaaS).


In March 2019 we Launched our EaaS cloud offering. This is a marketing leading cloud escrow solution, where we have since seen triple digit % growth over the past two years. This solution is underpinned by deeply embedded cloud technologies and include a mixture of legal and technical consultancy services that are sold to customers worldwide.


Key accountabilities:

  • You will be an integral part of a solution to drive client satisfaction while maintaining risk mitigation needs by helping customize standard agreements designed to protect all parties involved in the development, supply and use of business-critical software.
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, supplier agreements, MSA’s and other legal documents.
  • Creating templates for new products and channel sales streams and updating existing contracts used by NCC Group.
  • Providing legal advice to colleagues on a wide range of legal and commercial issues.
  • Researching and advising on technical queries relating to the industry.
  • Providing key support and training to the junior members of the legal team.
  • Supporting our international offices with contract reviews.
  • Supporting Sales during complex negotiations.
  • Providing escrow agreement training to the Contracts and Sales teams and supporting on customer presentations.
  • Perform other duties as required by manager.


Functional and technical skills:

  • UK Applicants: Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with post qualifying experience and a current practising certificate.
  • A strong knowledge of contract law and a keen eye for detail is vital in this role as you will reviewing and amending agreements for innovative technology businesses and commercial enterprises.
  • Strong commercial drafting skills and experience with commercial contracts.
  • Recognises, understands and scopes risk; able to find the balance between the commercial imperative and protection of the business.
  • Effective interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Good organisational skills and an accountable pro-active approach.
  • Ability to work well in a team and respond to the changing needs of the business and multitask in a fast paced, high volume environment
